*gg* Falk, weist du was mir gerade so auffällt :)

Great character concept. I like the visible brushstrokes and the warm palette.
The armour looks cool, but it stumbles a bit on my sense of realism. Since it looks pretty solid and metallic, it would be impossible to breathe, let alone move in it!
(That's just me being weird, of course. You see that sort of armour all over the place in illustrations.)

i know what you mean, but i think everything is possible in artworks and style is more important than realism. realism is in the real world but not necessarily in your ideas and dreams.
it just depends on your aim with the picture.
just my opinion ^^
thank you much for your critics!

You have a perfectly valid point there. Besides, one of the things I really like about your style is exactly that free-form interpretation of figures. I now realise I found the armour strange because I've been working on armour concepts myself lately, and THEY have to be realistically possible to wear. :)

Of course, on second thought, one might dub the material as some special sort of nanomaterial, which molds itself onto the skin, and get rid of nitpickers like me! ;)

i dont use texture brushes... most of the textures are painted, but there are also some phototextures used... i tryed to include them not so obviously and made a more painterly look :)

The image title is funny. I had to think of wood when I saw the painting. I guess she makes these noises which sound like krking branches and creaking trunks - it´s her language. Isn´t it?
